I wasn't happy with my game at all on this particular day. My first and second serve were horrible during doubles and I double fault 4 time during critical moments of the match. I had a few excellent drop shots but that wasn't enough to make feel better about not being ableto hold my serve. We won the match 6-4, but we were once up 4-1 then lost 3 straight games. But I guess a win, is a win no matter how ugly it is.

Later that night I met some new OLTA members and I was challenged to a late night match. For some reason, I finally figured out what I was doing wrong with my serve; I wasn't keeping my wrist firm or moving forward into the ball. So after these corrections my served returned. It was a tough game because my opponent is, in my opinon, a full level above me but I held my own until it was 3-3 when I ran out of steam. I lost 3-6 but I had fun. I felt that my game was really on during the match and I finally know why I have been serving poorly.

New

This is the new area of the killervirgo.com site where I will post updates on my tennis progress.
